The Breath Is Life Spa & Holistic Wellness Center is committed to eco-friendly business practices. As stewards of the earth, we offer a tranquil and therapeutic environment that rejuvenates the mind, body and spirit. We aim to introduce you to a lifestyle of health, wellness, and self-care.

We are open from 10am to 5pm, Monday thru Saturday. The Breath Is Life Spa remains closed on Sundays.

We have on-site parking available to clients. Our spa’s entrance can be located as the glass door on the side of the Ashé Cultural Arts building. Please arrive at the spa for check-in at least ten minutes prior to your appointment time.

To aid in the removal of physical barriers to those who may be seeking our services, we do have a handicap elevator/lift available for use at the entrance of our building.

We encourage clients to subscribe to our newsletter in order to get the first scoop on our latest workshops and available specials.
Payment/Purchases

Payments are accepted through Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and Square. A deposit is required upon booking, equal to half the cost of the service(s) requested. We do accept cash following your session for the remainder of the fee.

Gift cards or certificates must be presented at the time of booking or upon arrival to your appointment. The Breath Is Life Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards, or for unauthorized use. We cannot replace gift cards. Gift card sales are final at the time of purchase.

Merchandise can only be returned for a full refund if unopened and sealed.

Compiling services through bundling is an advisable offer to book your monthly/regular appointments ahead of time in order to receive a discount. Payment must be made in advance.
Neck, Back & Shoulders Bundle
Priced at $75 for a single 30 minutes-long Neck, Back & Shoulders session, we offer:
• 3 individual sessions(originally $225) at a 10% discount, totaling $202.50 with a savings of $22.50
OR
• 6 individual sessions(originally $450) at a 15% discount, totaling $382.50 with a savings of $67.50
Swedish Massage Bundle(60 MIN)
Priced at $95 for a single 60 minutes-long Swedish Massage session, we offer:
• 3 individual sessions(originally $285) at a 10% discount, totaling $256.50 with a savings of $28.50
OR
• 6 individual sessions(originally $570) at a 15% discount, totaling $485 with a savings of $85.50
Swedish Massage Bundle(90 MIN)
Priced at $150 for a single 90 minutes-long Swedish Massage session, we offer:
• 3 individual sessions(originally $450) at a 10% discount, totaling $405 with a savings of $45
OR
• 6 individual sessions(originally $900) at a 15% discount, totaling $765 with a savings of $135 -
Tips are not included in the price of our therapies, but are appreciated for great service.
Session Expectations

No client will ever be asked to undress past their personal comfort level and clothing options will be described in detail based on the desired service. Regardless of what the client decides to wear, you will be professionally draped to conceal your private regions.

We ask that client’s silence their cellphones and mobile devices for the duration of their session. Please leave your devices with your belongings.

Our massage therapists will offer gentle encouragement to focus on breathing or will direct a client in guided imagery, which are great tools to help with relaxation. Clients shouldn’t feel pressured to make small talk if they would rather not to.
Policies

We understand that unanticipated events occur in life, and it is our desire to be effective and fair to all clients. However, it has been necessitated that 24 hour advance notice be required when canceling an appointment. If you are unable to provide 24 hour advance notice, a fee equal to the cost of half of your appointment will be charged to your account.

For clients arriving late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate the day’s following appointments. Please call or text (504) 430-1565 prior to arrival, in order to ensure flow of our guests within the office. Your therapist will determine upon arrival if there is enough time to proceed with your session. For those who have forgotten or consciously chosen to forgo their appointment, they will be classified as a no-show. Regardless of treatment length, you will be responsible for the full cost of the allotted appointment time. Please plan your session accordingly.

It is important to know that your comfort is essential to us. We strive to provide a clean, safe, and relaxing environment. Our intention is to treat our clients with dignity and respect, and we ask that we be treated in kind. Communicate your preferences, expectations and concerns, as well as any pertinent health information and reasons for your visit. Your treatment is confidential, as is any disclosed health information. Our staff are trained to respectfully conduct treatments according to The Breath Is Life Spa’s policies and procedures, and we ask that our clients adhere to any published policies or procedures pertaining to you.

Upon booking, an email containing a health form will be sent to clients. Please fill this document with accurate information so that we may be aware of any specific medical needs or concerns that we should be aware of for the duration of your session. Disclosed health information will remain confidential.

Due to the landscape of our world throughout this most recent health crisis, we ask that our clients call to cancel or to reschedule their appointment if they are feeling unwell. We follow our local municipalities’ guidelines and ordinances.

For the safety and with utmost precaution for our staff and guests, we require our clients to wear a mask for the duration of their session.

A doctor’s note of permission and the conclusion of your 1st trimester are required before performing Prenatal Massage services. Please reach out to discuss any concerns or needs.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. They are not allowed into session rooms if the appointment is not their own, but may remain with a guardian in the waiting area.
