J. Menhati Singleton, owner of The Breath Is Life Spa LLC is a native of New Orleans, and a fervent Community Health Advocate. Her healing journey began as a young mother with two children, where she intuitively understood the important trifecta between health, wellness and the spiritual connection with self.
This sparked inspiration to begin a full journey of study and practice, which garnered certification as a licensed massage therapist in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and Doula Certification from the Birthing Project USA of New Orleans and with Sista Midwives Productions.
As a labor companion she continues to support and empower families welcoming their tiny bundles of joy to a new world. In honor and recognition that Birthing is the implementation of the highest power of life; physically and spiritually.
Upon completion of her studies at Blue Cliff College, she returned to teach several modalities of healing in Houma, Baton Rouge and Metairie, LA, where she was the appointed Program Chair, exercising great moments of education and leadership.
Leaning into her soul’s work, Menhati exemplifies incredible compassion and deep integrity in her being and in her healing work. She’s a loving force of keen intuition, demonstrating great empathy towards all people. Extending her service in the reflexology therapy she provides to the aging population in Central City and throughout Greater New Orleans to ease the arthritic discomfort in their hands. This power of healing reverberates for all who choose to embrace what is offered.
Her passionate mission is to awaken her students and clients to the importance of feeling alive and well by opening their hearts and minds to self-love.
